![]() Best Road Races ![]() Canada Army Run![]() The Canada Army Run passes through many of the historic parts of the country's capital city Ottawa, an aspect that underscores the tribute and funds it raises for the Canadian Air Force, Army and Navy veterans groups. A military cannon is used as the starter's pistol, "dog-tag" medals are given to all participants and the pre-race pasta dinner is cooked by military cooks in portable military trucks. What truly makes this race so memorable and patriotic are the injured and disabled veterans who walk, run and wheel beside their comrades and fellow Canadians to the finish line. 2012 Race Winners · 2011 Results

Course DescriptionThe scenic, mostly flat course is great for those who want to hit a fast stride in some of Canada's best weather. It also allows Canadian families of all ages to show their support. Two runners traditionally carry the Canadian flag the entire course and the spirit of camaraderie, Canadians running shoulder-to-shoulder, is enough to bring out a few tissues on the sidelines of the course. This very unique and rewarding race deserves its place on the list of the Best Road Races in North America. | ![]() ![]()
