Crescent City Classic
The South's favorite long distance running race is back with a vengeance this year, as the Crescent City Classic returns to New Orleans. The 10k route attracts around 20,000 runners each year, as well as a sea of onlookers ready to cheer on those brave souls. It attracted a world record performance in the 10km back in 2002. Go ahead, get carried away by the drama of this fast-paced event, and while you're at it take advantage of the live music, food and beverages, just as there has always been since the inaugural Crescent City Classic Way back in 1979. So whether you're a fitness freak or just a really good spectator, get yourself along to the Crescent City Classic this year for one heck of a day!
