![]() Best Road Races ![]() Mohawk Hudson River Marathon![]() There's a saying around this part of New York: The path to Boston starts in Schenectady--that's because on average. 30 percent of the Boston Marathon runners qualify at the Mohawk Hudson Marathon, that finishes up in Albany. This is a point-to-point course that is primarily flat and fast, with a net elevation loss of 370 feet. The half marathon uses the second half of the marathon course. Course DescriptionThink fast. Think flat. Think about accomplishing one of the greatest challenges of your life: the marathon. This is a great course to test your mental and physical strength. Approximately two-thirds of the marathon course is on paved bike path, one-third on city streets. You run past two scenic and historic rivers, and when you hit the drop, well it's downhill from there.
