Running Spot Thanksgiving Day Race

Started in 1908, Greater Cincinnati's turkey day run is the sixth oldest race in America, behind only the Boston Marathon and a handful of other century-old events, according to Runner's World Magazine. Any list of Thanksgiving traditions starts with turkey. Then you can toss in football, the Macy's Parade and the official kickoff to Christmas shopping season. Today another tradition is making its way into cities big and small across America: The Thanksgiving Day race, which is alive and well in downtown Cincinnati.

Course Description

The fun begins, but doesn't even start to end at the start/finish line at the Paul Brown Stadium. Runners follow the gently rolling hills up Main Street and down Eggleston, over the bridge and along 4th. Then it's back over the grand Ohio River to 3rd and the home run stretch back to the Paul Brown Stadium.
