St. George marathon

Mostly downhill, Runner's World rated this as the fastest fall (the season not the descent) marathon and also one of four "Marathons to Build a Vacation Around." Its USATF certified course is a Boston qualifier. The spectacular red rock mountains of Utah make for majestic vistas along the route.

Course Description

If you can take your eyes away from vistas you'll find yourself running a very do-able downhill course. The total descent of 2600 feet takes you through the Pine Valley mountains before planing out through scenic Southwest Utah. This course is fast, watch out for the roadrunners, native birds that will make you feel you're standing still! Beep, beep!
