Vermont City Marathon

Fielding less than 3500 runners in the marathon (there is a marathon relay as well), there is plenty of room to maneuver the wonderful race course that tours the city of Burlington, Vermont.. Several miles of the race traverse the edge of Lake Champlain, offering views of New York State's Adirondack Mountains in the distance. The KeyBank Vermont City Marathon Relay is a community effort, recognizing all those who have had a hand in making the race a success for 24 years. The finish and all post-race festivities occur in Waterfront Park where you'll be greeted by thousands of cheering spectators all sharing the same desire to cross the finish line, now and in the future.

Recommended by: Todd Jennings
"The Vermont City Marathon is one of the finest small town marathons in the east, staged in the center of the quaint New England city of Burlington," says runner Todd Jennings. "One of the best facets of the race is you can commute from your hotel to the race venue in about 15 minutes."
